Just a point about this, as I'm a pedantic prat on the pitch:
it's 5 seconds from when the ball lands in your head right?
Therefore, why do most refs say "1" as soon as you have caught it, and then blow their whistle when they reach "5"?
That's actually only a 4 second time gap.
Annoyed the crap out of my the last time I helped out at a tourney (sadly couldn't play due to arm in plaster...)
Just wondering if any refs had points on this matter.
