Buying Stuff Online - Recommended Websites

Postby Laxsidasical Fri Dec 12, 2008 8:30 pm

Looking at buying a Custom Cascade Pro7 and some other stuff (had the same classic 80's Brine rib pads for 21 years!)

Anyone got any websites (US or UK or anywhere!)they've had dealings with that they'd recommend with regards to speed of delivery and reliabilty and obviously ones that deliver to the UK.

Thanks in advance.

Sportstop and lax.com have both been really good in past experience.
Stick with the CPX, they're better than the Pro7 as the Pro7 visor blocks your vision

I've used, several times, and always had excellent help and service from:
http://www.lacrossedigest.com

Give them a go. They'll also beat other's suppliers prices. :D

I used laxworld.com which has sum pretty good stuff and is reliable

I bought a Pro7 and in terms of visibility, its fine, the "visor" does not block your view at all. CPx's may fit closer on your head, but the Pro7's are ultra comfy

Ordered some stuff from http://www.eastbay.com last week and it came yesterday. they're a bit of a weird one; for some stuff they're quite pricey but other stuff is really cheap. Just got to look about I guess. They also ship relatively cheap to the Uk (I think its 10% or a minimum of $25)

One other thing, watch out for foot locker. I thought I was buying some k18 arm guards at a very reasonable price; turned out they'd put the wrong picture up and instead I received the arm pads. Reliable? I think not.

You could always try something more local like http://www.uklacrosse.com.

Some things are actually cheaper to buy in the uk, especially after you add shipping and customs.

Given current exchange rates I'd definitely look in the UK now.

id 100% back UkLacrosse.. I bought 4 sticks from keith the other day, even with the postal strike they got here well boxed and quick.. amazing website, sells so much and hes so friendly and will give you a decent representation of whether a product is for you or not. definitely worth it.. ive bought from loads of sites including ones from the us (lacrossemonkey) but the taxes arent worth it from the us and in the eu the products are normally the same but with the stupid exchanges not worth it anymore.. so id stick in the uk.. leaving 3 top sites, hattersly, zenith and uk lacrosse. Id defo pick uk lax anytime.. only one i haven't been with is zenith but im sure i will do at some point.. but i think zenith MAYBE supplied by uk lax.. hope it helps but the people at uk are really nice.

I'd suggest MonsterMesh.co.uk....although I'm biased...but we do sell more than mesh inc. scandium and STX shafts, arm pads (sometime gloves but we sold out) and heads too for decent prices and with flat rate postage at £1.50.
http://www.monstermesh.co.uk - The Best for Mesh! (and now also scandium shafts, heads, gloves, balls, dye and tape!)

Hello,
Buy lacrosse sticks from removed - not a preferred UK seller. Founded in 2001, they are an online retailer is known for selling the best sporting goods. They have a huge selection of lacrosse equipment. They also have equipment for field hockey.

Regards,

....and let me stick my oar in too!

It seems to be going unremarked that:

http://www.prolaxshop.com

(a long-time supporter of Laxforums.co.uk) is not only active in European Lacrosse but in the UK too, supplying a wide range of equipment including Brine, STX, Reebok, Cascade, (helmets and facemasks), 1Lacrosse, deBeer, Under Armour, OPRO Mouthguards, Stringing materials, Referee's shirts and whistles, Referee's game cards/booklets (for men at the moment, but a women's version is under development), stick tape and wrap, DVD's from Championship Productions in the USA, Euro-Lax balls....and so on and so on!

Why not give us a go too!

By the way, I am looking for "evangelists" to keep our name at the top of the list in the UK as well as thoughout Europe - anyone fancy having a go?

I look forward to hearing from you soon!

;-D
