Camp for beginner/intermediate level players

Postby Likkedeeler #27 Mon Feb 03, 2014 7:55 pm

Hillcroft Lacrosse Club and the Grimstad Cubs (Norway) are hosting a camp for men's and women's Lacrosse in London. On the weekend of March 7th, 8th and 9th we will practice and play Lacrosse (and of course also party).

This is a great chance to play ball with a team from a very different part of the Lacrosse world and experience the great camaraderie Lacrosse has to offer.

We have secured the services of Brian Potter (formerly Head Coach University of Victoria, currently Head Coach Cologne Indians, Germany) and Samantha Wisbey (ELF/Welwyn Warriors, formerly Hitchin) as well as former ELF Coaching Coordinator Henning Schmidt. The sessions are on Friday, March 7th (20-22h, be there for 1930h), Saturday March 8th (10-13h, be there 0930h) followed by a scrimmage (if we find opposition) or last training session on Sunday, March 9th (likely men's 10-12, women's 12-14h).

All practices are on Hillcroft's new 3G Astro and are tailored for players who are comparably new to the game or need a refresher. The camp will cover individual techniques, basic team offensive/defensive play as well as some bespoke elements.

The cost for participation is £15, which is only for the practices. For groups of at least four, there will be a group discount. If you're interested in taking part in the camp, please pm Henning (Likkedeeler #27). We'll provide all further detail by email.

We look to forward to a great weekend of Lacrosse,

on behalf of the organisers,

Offence wins games,
Defence wins championships
