the rules ?

Postby georgieb17 Sun Feb 04, 2007 3:26 pm

hi, i'm at an all male school and a lacrosse team has formed not long ago. we play proper field lacrosse. there are several girls school teams who have girls teams and play girls lacrosse. i was wondering what are the rules with regards basically everything and checking and body check etc. am i right in thinking stick to stick checks are allowed but not body checks ?. in mixed lacrosse, if anyone's got any website links that explain this that'd be great ? or alternately you can just explain :D

Non contact for mixed...no body or stick checks...all other rules are basically from the womens game.

However there are quite a few different interpretations of the rules

The rule your going to hate is having to stand still when the whistle goes.

Hungover is the only way to cope with mixed. I'm the gammer who forgets to stand still, and continues much to the reffs and everyone elses anoyence

I barely get out of bed when hungover let alone thinking about playing lacrosse... how do u do it!!! Plus standing around is great, just because as a ref i enjoy shouting at people to move back! hee hee!
