Durham vs England
Hopefully this will be seen more, but felt it needed some news. Durham women's first team played the England senior squad today. Durham won the game 17-7, a huge score to put past the internation side.

Re: Durham vs England
Congratulations to Durham University Ladies
A fantastic result
England previously have claimed they have no competition in Europe and have travelled to USA on expensive Tours
It must be very pleasing to know they have very good competition (17-7) on own shores
Perhaps next time they could play Durham 2nds and then eventually work up to the 1s

Re: Durham vs England
Would be interesting to see a full strength Eng team take on durham or even a the strongest line up from the weekend play the full match, but a good result for durham and a very competitive match.
Durham should win BUCS this year, have some real stand-out players and a very good coach

Re: Durham vs England

Re: Durham vs England
there were 6 of the elite team in total and the rest were development, the elite players played in the first quarter, which was close 3-3. The england team rotated players which is always tough, but not to take anything away from durham they were pumped for the game and played well.
Less elite players for a number of reasons including....weekend was in Durham, first time its being held that far up north, also lots of players taking time off from lacrosse after euros and WC...will be interesting to see if they all come back for Home Ints, also squad still has an interim coach at the mo.
