Wait a minute, surely it should be a well done to scotland who have avenged two previous defeats by the welsh.
They were favourites to win, and unfortunately for them thought so themselves

yes, Well done Scotland. BUT, speaking as a former President of Welsh lacrosse, Wales were easily beaten in the round robin but came very close in the final, showing improvement in the tournament. Wales continues to develop young players, integrating under 19s into the senior squad and maintaining the policy of using the Celtic cup to develop UK based players, and developing players from Welsh clubs. It isnt about past wins or losses, it is about developing players through a development programme into a Welsh National team. It is great to see a French team and also the development of ALL the other nations in the use of home grown talent.

The improvement in the French team was immense over the week. Talking to the other players, having some proper coaches and an ability to play so many games with real referees was a massive help. While I know the guys were more interested in simply playing at such a high level than the actual scores, if you look at the breakdown of the games, you can see the improvement not only day by day but quarter by quarter.

The tournament was a great experience. I personally thought the facilities were fantastic and the whole event was well run. There were a few weak points here and there, but these were no different from any other tournament or game I've played in/watched.

i think if you select a team of the tournament you'd have to take away any personal feelings about your own team, although i respect that they played well i dont really think the scottish defence were fantastic. and not even mentioning a good irish and highly improved french team shows your maturity level on the subject.

i think that all the scottish and welsh keepers played amazing, and the French keeper has shown amazing improvement since i first saw him play

Most definitely. France were much better than i thought and ireland played well. Our attackmen have to mentioned though, as they continuously threatened your defence in both games. Your long poles and golies, especially in the final played well and nearly won it for you.

However, defensively we held you to fewer than 8 goals, so surely we should be congratulated, even with your 'star player' 99 in attack

I would have to give your advantage to the middies not your attack. The two guys from Maryland, 4&21, along with 11 and 26.

France will only get better as well, the whole team is keen and determined with a shed load of potential.

As for who was the better team out of Wales and Scotland? It was one hell of a close match, but I felt a couple times Wales wasted chances to score or threw the ball away in attack unnecessarily trying to force something that wasn't on. That said, another day and I wouldn't have been surprised if the score was reversed.
