So who is you money on for the Men's Lacrosse Champions?

eng to beat netherlands or germany in final!

anyone else think israel could upset a few of the middle teams? lots of experience on the sideline/management and lots of backing from USA

The defence looks stacked, will be surprised if they give up more than 5 or 6 goals in any game, while they look to have the offensive firepower to easily score double figures in every match

Plus I'm going over for the semis and final so will be gutted if we don't win!

Holland are a threat if they can
- win face-offs
- play 2 man game with crafty Canadians Scott Jannsen
- Grant Zimmerman is fit and stands on his head

Germany have HoF Jack Kaley as Head Coach
- who is more cunning than a Fox

I expect to give up more than 5

I also expect England to win
Some Teams will be looking to nail England's hat on as they are the defending Champions
Injuries maybe an issue if England try to play a 1v1 dodging game
Expect BIG HITS LATE & OFTEN

I'll be there for semi and final too. I can't see past England but have no visibility on how the other European nations have improved over the past couple of years.

The defence and goalkeepers have vast prior experience of major tournaments with England.

The midfield has lost 3 or 4 of the 30-something clodgers since 2010 - two of which (Reynolds and Ellison) were with the squad from 2004/2006 - 2010. There's still plenty of tournament experience in both defensive and offensive midfield with some pretty handy youngsters filling the other spots.

I wouldn't worry about the numbers in attack. Nick Watson and Ady Bennett will resume their telepathic connection on the pitch and, if you could gamble on such things, I would put a lot of money on 3+ Watson-to-Bennett goals per game.

I've heard pretty good things about Colin and have seen enough of Ollie White in the Premiership to know he's got plenty to offer when called upon.

I think the final score in the Championship game against the Dutch in 2008 was 14-4 (something like that). That's a pretty big gap to close in four years.

Those two weeks in 2008 were the best of my life and I am insanely jealous of those making the trip out there on Monday morning. Make the most of the time out there as there really is nothing like it, especially when you're winning.

Agree Watson, Bennett etc will be important but my money is on Mike Armstrong to be the unsung do-everything jack of trades hero for England.

France are travelling with a depleted 17 players after many drop outs. Some issues with general organisation have haunted the set up since 2010. No new playing kit. No new gear or stash. No American superstars. Most importantly, no Robin Webb.

Of the 17, the starting line up should be solid enough to hold their own against the other teams in their group. Gutted not to be involved. Roll on 2014.
