coaches and ref's!

Postby scouse Wed Feb 01, 2006 12:12 pm

so ive had a chat with a few people from the asll and im not sure about other uni's but a big problem with our league is the lack of qualified coaches and ref's. The idea has been put forward to put on a weekend up north whereby one day can be dedicated to getting people their level one coaching and the next day dedicated to qualifying as ref's. Idea being two or more candidates from each uni club do this each season so as to bring a bit more, dare i say it, professionalism, into uni lacrosse!

just hoping for some feed back

If you want every uni to put people into this then maybe move it to a central location?

I had some contact from ELA about this before christmas but nothing came of it.

Would be a great idea, and dare I say it we should think about introducing it as mandatory in the coming seasons.

probably best if one weekend is in a central north location and another in a central southern loaction!

i think every team would benefit for it, especially with the plans for next year!

I agree
spliting it into two locastions (one northen one sothern) would make it far easier for unis to send people.
Failing this then a central (and i mean central) location would be good too
