Lacrosse The Pond

Anyone had any experience with them? I know Exeter and Durham got some/all of their Americans through it, and Plymouth is trying.

Yeah they're awesome. Our guys both came from the same college and have coached as well as played. Really nice guys and would recommend the company. We're getting at least two more next year.

Our Uni paid for 2 scholarships though so you might want to think about how you're going to fund them as they might be attracted to cheaper places. You also don't have much control over who you get as they choose you, not the other way around. Also, ours chose Exeter because it's a top 10 academic Uni that offered scholarships rather than for lacrosse related reason. Doesn't mean others will do the same but it''s not as straight forward as ordering a sick lax player from America!!

It's run by the Russells up at Poynton so best to contact them.

Hope that helps

Good video!

Should really help increase the profile of university lax in the UK. I definitely wouldn't mind having Max Seibald play alongside me at university.

Count the Cambridge mentions.

Other than Exeter, which other Unis are participants?

I fired off something to them to use to promote Warwick but it was kinda last minute so Im not sure how effective it will be.
As Loake said above, I think being able to offer a fee discount or some kind of financial package would be a pretty big pull when they're choosing, so long as the uni is a good one. We're pretty unlikely to get anything out of our business school though, the Dean isn't exactly the most sport focused chap...
