Yesterday I went to see the Women's Rugby Union World Cup held at Surrey University Sports Centre. It really showed what a great job that the ELA did in organising the World Series. Our tournament was superior in every way. Rugby had limited seating in very small stands so most folk had to stand round the pitch, very limited sales of memorabilia and none of equipment, an inaudible sound system(possibly an advantage?), poor programme with no team details or information on the venue, no festival...............
Given the resources available to rugby it really highlighted the excellence of the tournament that the ELA team organised.
