Final on TV?

Postby J-Lo Sat Jul 24, 2010 11:14 am

Is the Final between USA and Canada being braodcast on TV at all?

I have checked Eurosport 1 and 2 and its not on either of those

I also checked ESPN and ESPN America and again it is not listed.

On Virgin Media, I'm seeing it listed as being on "ESPN America" channel 531, shown delayed on Sunday starting at 13:00.

Ah so not live then.

Saw the 2006 game live on Eurosport and all the others on CSTV

Went to Super saturday, since then i've been watching the games online, but i fancied going to a pub.

Have to say i much prefered te setup in Canada, in the uk we can't even work the scoreboard correctly and the stadium (if you can call it that) is empty most of the time, not to mention they couldn't even be bothered to remove the football markings on the ptitch.

Still didn't the Canadian organisers get into debt

They did obscure the (Field) Hockey markings, by over-painting them with green. But looks as though that paint has faded a bit with the weather we've had.

England have been sensible this time round. None of this "let's fill football stadia" nonsense like '94. I'm optimistic they have set their sights at the right level.

Also showing at 1pm Sunday if you have Sky/ESPN America (channel 430).

Sarah Oglesby & the ELA along with hundreds of volunteers have done a fantastic job :D

Dave Marsden, Clive Perrin and the rest of the Steering Committee should be congratulated

not forgetting Tim Holdsworth who was responsible along with many others for the festival

I've just left the venue and lots of hugs and praise being given out from players and fans from all over the World
who have enjoyed the whole experience.

Fantastic Final

I feel disappointed for Chris Sanderson, Billy-Dee Smith, John Grant Jr who were awesome for Canada

but Congratulations to the USA for an amazing Final and wining back The 2010 World Championship

which way is it to Denver 2014?

Was a great finals in terms of the matches. It does look like they were sensible with spending too, but still plenty of lessons to be learned. Had fun when i was there as did everyone else i've spoken to.

Lets see what the US do in 4 years time.
