Only 3 U16 teams should of been atleast U17. That way i feel atleast another 2 or 3 teams could of participated. Hardly a tournament with 3 teams.

I agree with lewis, would have made for a better tournement if there had been more teams with older guys there.
Maybe the organisers will take note and change it for next year....

Next year you'll all be a year older. Should we make it older still then?

Maybe you should get more younger players involved in the game instead, that way the tournament can grow without having the same teams/players in it every year.

In two years time, there'll be all the current U14s to play U16, so there'll most probably be more teams in the comp.

Also you've got to consider that anyone over 16 can play seniors, and there are a lot of summer competitions for that age group around already!!

whats your problem with making it u17? Sure we can play mens but its nice to compete against kids our own age for once.

I've no problem with including U17s in the tournament, it would therefore be:

U12
U14
U16
U17

and a bigger and better tournie!

I just disagree with getting rid of U16 in favour of U17 because there are more U17 players around this year that want to play.

Expansion is best if you can get more people, teams, clubs etc involved, but it also means that the organisers need more resources etc.

I wouldn't want to discourage any U17s from playing, but there may be some U16s that don't want to play against the big boys yet, and they should still have their U16 spot until such time as they're too old!

Not necessarily. We had quite a few 15 year olds playing at TASIS and there can be a massive amount of difference between them and a 17-18 yr old (was U18s wasn't it?).

Obviously I can understand wanting to play with kids your own age but with some of the Blues kids so dominant for their age in the south it is not necessarily beneficial to have them beating up on kids just coming into and learning the sport.
