MLL Championship 2009

Teams are set for MLL championship weekend

#2 Toronto Nationals v #3 Long Island Lizards

#1 Denver Outlaws v #4 Boston Cannons

Toronto look to be hitting form at the right time, beating Denver in last regular season game.
John Grant Jr scored 5 Goals in his 1st game back but onlt played 1st half.
Merrick Thomson top scorer in League 2009
Jeff Zywicki, Joe Walters, Delby Powless & Colin Doyle on offence they are loaded

Brad Ross & Gavin Prout add some speed in midfield which they were lacking
Geoff Snider at face-off with Brodie Merrill at LSM help a lot with possession from the X

Could well be a Toronto v Denver Final, the result could well depend on much the Toronto players involved in the Mann Cup get beaten up
playing Box Lacrosse over next two weeks.

1st Semi & Final will be shown on ESPN America, should be fun

However any virgin media customers have ESPN america till the end of August...

Also with ESPN showing Prem matches and decent pub would have it to boost trade (maybe)

Really want Boston to take the title this year. Of all the games I have seen they have been the most enjoyable team to watch. Great attacking play with the threat of Rabil (immense!) from up top and Morris and Boyle in attack.

Denver how ever have been near perfect all season so will be incredibley tough to beat.

Anybody else see the fan sporting a gin n juice jersey celebrating Shaun Williams goal with about 4' left in the 4th? Quality!

How frustrating is this.

Sky plussed the game, with 31 seconds on the clock the sky box suddenly appears with the dreaded end of programme box....

So hoping that was it...

last 31 seconds was nothing much... thats when my dvd player stopped recording. but it was a time out so managed to save the last 31 uneventful seconds...

also yeah saw the Gin and Juice shirt in the crowd.

The advantage of an english accent is limitless in america - it got matt danowskis clutch, tony mcdevitts gloves a bucket load of autographs and most importantly front row tickets haha
