To me it doesn't exist - cone to Bluesfest to experience and I'll buy you a beer to chat over the scenario.

The Pom is at Bluesfest most years!

To be correct the pom wins bluesfest most years
S_24 Lax I am only having a laugh most people on here know me and know I am taking the Mick.

Southern teams have got much better.
In many respects they do things better than the north.
There are many good guys involved in lax in the south that I am mates with (even the midlands "Nottingham" but don’t get me started on them).

But I do believe a full strength Stockport team is a 20 goal win over blues I have played both and seen both play.

The Wilkinson sword and Iroquois trophy are not good examples as the north teams are rarely full strength and normally hung over. And consider it a bit of a jolly down south.
From what I understand the southern teams often are missing players in these games (I played purley once and they had to borrow players from another team).

so we can agree the south are getting better.
the north has put in place a league structure to weaken top level compertition.
so in another 5-10 years i can see this margin being greatly reduced or even reversed

but i will have retired by then so it will not bother me and i can winge about the good old days when the north was the best and the south was full of shandy drinkers
League restructure I told you so 10/3/2011(looking good on this one)
Prem division to two leagues will result in the prem division failing and being combined with Nemla 22/3/2012
the proposed restructure to 8 teams in each prem league will only last a couple of years until it has to be restructured again due to teams dropping out. 13/12/2012

It is still and always will be full of shandy drinkers!

in my humble opinion. Stockport, Mersey, cheadle would beat the best of the south. I think Blues, spencer, Hampstead, would give the likes of Wacs, Wilmslow, Timperley and Rochdale a close game and Could beat Steelers, and boardman.

Off the top of my head:

Sam Dunwoodie (Heaton Mersey)
Liam McGreavy (Nottingham + somewhere else I presume)
Joe Darkins
James Morrison
Rick Bone (Stockport)

So majority of the 1st team!

Ages ago. Just going off last year really. Rochdale were good last year. Boardman playing prem 2 for 2 years made me think they would struggle in Prem 1.

Who has returned to them other than You Mr McCullough

Not sure if Benji is. Can't remember playing against him for ages.

Conrad has moved to Canada so doesn't obviously play for Spencer anymore.

Same team as last year minus yank plus me.

Anyway, would love the opportunity to play Blues or anyone in a European trophy. I had my name down to play for Mersey if they were going but alas they couldn't get the numbers together.

Let's hope that they keep it going and Boardman are there before I'm too ancient.

10 goals final quarter - probably would have been better off if he hadn't made it at all.

how often do southern teams have to travel north of the peninnes never!!! it is about time they do

As pointed out this comment if far from true, quite a few Southern Teams wander up North, but that is not really the point. If you want to stage a European event on an annual basis you should really consider matters such as cost, access to transport etc. The London area is the natural transport hub with access to 4 airports, Eurostar, rail linked ferry terminals etc etc, Manchester, Leeds etc cannot compare with that.

Also the cost of travelling 200 odd miles to London for a Northern club with say travel from Sweden, Denmark, Czech republic, Austria italy, Spain for oversees clubs is negligible.

Like it or not lacrosse is now clearly a national sport, not the private reserve of the M60 M62 corridor and should be regarded in that way, so I stick with my view that if held in the UK again the ECC would be best held at a Southern venue.

I'm sorry but a requirement for 4 airports is just greedy! Have any of the other venues ever offered this?
Leeds is more than ready to host the ECC and is just a stones throw from the airport, but has Manchester, Newcastle, and Doncaster all with 1.5 hours of Leeds. We have Hull ferry terminal an hour away (linked by train), train station, coach station, etc, etc, etc.

I'd like to think that we can compare with London! In fact, we might just try and offer to host a future ECC!
