Referee Courses

Postby Christina Sun Apr 01, 2012 9:08 pm

Is anyone aware if there are any referee courses being held in the south over the summer?

Would that be Umpire Courses for Women's or Referee Courses for Men's?

It was umpiring courses, I've passed her Karen Owen's details.

What a crazy game when we can't even agree on the name for officials!

Actually we had this discussion at the FIl and they wanted us all to move to the generic term "Official". Sandy Goldthorpe - Chair of Women's Officiating and myself as the FIL Chair of Men's Officiating agreed that it would be better if we retained separate identities for each of our official groups so that there would be no confusion, this post being a perfect example of this. Hence the reason why I asked.
