Does anyone else get baffled with this England, England Blue, England White, is there a Red as well ..... is it some kind of secret code, just in case one team beats the other, when they're not supposed to?

All quite straightforward:

England Blue was the notional 1st team (missing a couple of players who couldn't make the trials);
England White, the notional 2nd team (boosted by said players).

Both these teams played in the 1st team tournament against Scotland and Wales. Blue ended with 3 wins out of 3 and White 3 losses, (by 1 against Scotland, 3 against Wales and 2 against Blue), so good experience for a young side most of whom are just beyond Centex.

The 'B' tournament pitted England 'B' (largely Centex with a couple of more experienced players for a steady hand on the tiller), against Ireland, Scotland B and Wales B. England emerged victors and Ireland won their first game in the history of these tournaments.

So, all in all, lots of positives to come out of the event with young players learning from the experience and England showed the depth of talent that they have.
