A message to those who might be interested:

If you enjoy lacrosse, watching top level women's sport or just a summer's evening in the sun, then Thursday 11 June is for you.

The World Champions Australia will play ONE match only in Europe prior to this year's world cup in Prague - at Cobham.

Limited numbers for the general enclosure and ONLY 150 seats in the grandstand means you need to book early and save money.

More info from the attached poster or go to the website -

Entry tickets can be pre-booked - this is recommended for schools - download the booking <> form here

This promises to be the biggest lacrosse match played in the UK in the last 25 years - Please print this poster and display it if you can.

Lots of other fun - Raffles. Prizes. Lacrosse shops AND buying a ticket enters you for a competition to win the new, amazing SONY Wearable Walkman MP3

An update on this match - over 900 tickets are now sold. As of today - 3 June, there are 92 pre-sale tickets left PLUS 50 held back for sale on the gates. Tickets can be bought via the Cobham Sports Association website: ... are-coming

The MUSTO grandstands are now fully sold out. If you are a school and still need bulk tickets please contact us via the website and we will look at ways of accommodating you.

There is a very good story on the Telegraph website by Emily Benammar which has a great shot of Charlie Finnigan. ... d-Cup.html

Post match, digital media company 'Future Reference' - run by lacrosse player Emily Chong - will be streaming parts of the game from 12 June - access will be via the CSA website

Hope you are coming – if you are, have you thought about getting dad (husband or partner) to join you after the match at the CSA bar? There will still be lots to eat drink and enjoy even after the match is over – entry will be free for dads etc after 7.30.

Jen Adams didn't play, Australia ran few, if any set plays and were liberal with subbing. England were really good but I think Australia could be better once they've had a bit more time together. It was a great game to watch though, if only for the pure intensity that comes at international play - both teams were thoroughly competitive.

As a spectator I thought the game was an excellent advert for the sport, but I had expected a little more from the Australian women given their world cup status. I'd like to wish the England team all the best for the world cup as they must have an excellent chance of winning.
