Unfortunately UWIC had to concede to Welwyn 2s in the Flags.

Welwyn 2 players - practice at KGV at 12:00 ready to start (kitted and warmed up)

Certainly is! Although I'd be surprised if it hadn't happened before. Wonder if anybody has got to the final without actually playing.

Too short notice to arrange transport with the university, Ash.
Mini-buses are limited and go quickly.

yeah understandable really, more difficult for uni's than for clubs i guess, as clubs tend to be less minibus depedent!

Our game would have been another victim of the weather but we were quite lucky to find an astro with availability for the game.

EG'A' 5 Cambridge 13

Cambridge looking unbeatable at the moment and the league has gotta be between them and Croydon.

EG 9 Blues 8

Fantastic game to watch/ref with both teams swapping the lead all the way through.

Croydon def. London Uni 23 - 5

Very spirited London Uni team were no match for the smooth transitional play of Croydon. An extremely good team performance with some exceptional goals.

Spencer 2 - 5 Hitchin
Spencer 9 - 5 Hitchin
Spencer 12 - 6 Hitchin
Spencer 14 -11 Hitchin

Well done to EG they played a very good game, Blues probably had enough chances to win it but was not to be. Personally gutted about the winning goal...it may well have been going wide until the underside of my stick nudged it nicely into the goal.

Looks like the blues have droped out of the title race with their poor post christmas forum. Hampstead Welwyn and Spencer all looking strong.

It's day's like these that make lacrosse a really fun game!

Predictions are wonderful things...
Princess wrote:East Grinstead v Walcountian Blues disgust after losing to welwyn twice and no dan means Blues could rack up a cricket score

Princess wrote:no Dan and green keeper in big game coming cold into the Prem... could be nasty.

Toby, It must be about time that you dig out that old black and silver shirt and come back to Sussex!?

Alan is the only one who backed us!
Spencer wrote:East Grinstead v Walcountian Blues This will be close , If EG can get their offense going i could smell an upset on the cards . EG Win

I might not have had it quite right in my October prediction, but I never doubted the result!
Whitey wrote:Predict differently on the return fixture, we will stuff them by at least 5 goals.

A really exciting game today, EG took the lead, Blues pulled it back to lead 8-7, EG brought it back to 8-8 - then Dave Kelly rampaged forward, nipped by Wakeford and scored the winner. Ewan and Kiddo from the Blues really impressed me today, they've both improved a great deal since we last played each other, very important players in their side and still very young.

An extremely pleasant afternoon.

Dan is a great keeper and will no certainly be missed until he is fit again but don't under estimate what we have waiting in the wings.
