Think those ela results are the ones for the same fixtures on the first day of the season! I thought welwyn beat hampstead but I might have heard wrong!

They aren't even that...as an earlier post mentioned Bristol lost 22-0 their first game to spencer. I think they'd be keen to have the real score reflect their tremendous improvement.

Hampstead's first match was a 14-2 win. Don't know what this weekend was.

Again, it doesn't matter as long as the weekend is accurately represented in the Selma tables. Just wondering where these wildly incorrect results came from and how this information was published with so many discrepancies. It surely wasn't the clubs reporting, so did ELA make it all up or does Selma have erroneous results on file?

Does SEMLA have erroneous results on file???

Ouch!

I remember when you filled in postcards every week with the score and then each club got one typed league table mid May to tell them how they did that season.

Maybe we should go back to that system? Instant communication and information may be too much for us to handle.

I'm not attacking semla chief, I'm just trying to discern how these scores are so off the mark.

those were the days...... sticks were made of wood.... helmets were for cissies, and we had the ""stand rule" when the ball went out of play...... think things are better now tbh

Sounds like you are all suffering with a similar problem to NEMLA results.
I'm asusming that you all use a similar method to NEMLA? i.e. you text the result to an automated number and it appears on the website not long after? If that's the case, the problem is usually caused by someone texting in the result incorrectly, or with the teams the wrong way round. The home team should always be first, followed by the away team. Apparently this is too complicated for some teams to stick to!

No we all text/phone/email/laxforums our results to the fixtures sec who sends out an email on Sunday with all confirmed results and asks for any missing ones.

All the results that were in this Sunday were correct. The ones on the ELA site are just weird

Laxman2Zero - the ball never went out of play we didn't have any boundaries. I recall running around Lloyd Park with the ball when we were 6 goals up and being chased by players until they couldn't be bothered any more. Great fun but I was fit then.
