Blues 21 Bath 9. Fun game to play and some nice play from the younger Bath players. Good luck next season boys!

Soton City 12-3 Penarth

Penarth travelled with 9, City had 2 poles and no keeper. Turned out to be a rather even match.

Penarth are staying down tonight, sadly pompy cancelled on them tomorrow, so we're off to get smashed now

Hillcroft 7 - EG 5

Looks like we get the benefit of another game of lacrosse this season! We'll play the runner up of the East/West Play-off on 24th April. Congratulations to Welwyn, well deserved champions.

Blues 2 19-1 East Coast

A rather depleted East cost made the trip down and started with 7 due to some traffic issues. Finally hitting 10 players at about quarter time. A good game with some big hits and generally played in good spirits. It may have been a tactical error to put your non long stick novice defender on our best dodging attack man, but putting your best defender in attack for the last quarter seemed to stem the scoring a bit, not quite sure how that happened. Thanks for making the trip guys. And thanks to Claire for Refing.

Quarter scores

Blues 5-0 EC
Blues 11-1 EC
Blues 17-1 EC
Blues 19-1 EC

Congratulations Welwyn, The Blues pushed you hard in the end but with the exception of the Hitchin game with the Dutch additions there were no slip ups. Worthy winners I think in the end. Blues are currently ruing their two last minute, 1 goal defeats in the first two games of the season. The Blues should be proud of their season and particularly their post Christmas form. 2nd is the best we have ever finished in the Prem and we have a flags final to look forward to.

Hampstead v Spencer

Postby speach Sat Mar 27, 2010 8:15 pm

Quarter Time Scores:

Hampstead 04-04 Spencer - Quarter drawn 4-4
Hampstead 08-09 Spencer - Spencer won quarter 5-4
Hampstead 14-11 Spencer - Hampstead won quarter 6-2
Hampstead 18-17 Spencer - Spencer won quarter 6-4

Another boring one goal game! Going back to my posting last Saturday, how many one goal games can one referee in a season?!

Classic banter and camaraderie between the teams in the garden of the local pub afterwards. Thank you to Hampstead for the never-ending supply of french fries!

Southern lacrosse at its best all round!

Buckhurst Hill 11 vs 2 Hitchin A

Postby davewilliams Sat Mar 27, 2010 8:32 pm

Old fashioned 10 vs 10 with us just showing a bit more composure in possession. Thanks to Ray, Gary and the lads for making the journey and a special mention to your goalkeeper; once again he made our shooters look bad.

If we can find a date to reschedule? Let's talk next week as I know Canterbury have games on 10 & 17th. Spencer has teams in the 6's on the 24th.

They don't have a game on the 10th anymore...they can't make it.

At some stage you need to start playing some games Alex.
