How to watch and record College Lacrosse?

Postby DanSawyer Tue Feb 12, 2008 2:02 pm

Options I can see so far:

1. ACC streaming. Apparently needs US credit card. Anybody know whether it can be a) recorded or b) watched after the event?

2. ESPNU. I don't have cable/sky. I have Freeview with options for topup cards. I don't think it can be done.

3. NASN via Setanta. As far as I know only shows the Final Four (and MLL). Is this right?
Chichester Crusaders Coach.
Portsmouth Uni #66 - once upon a time.
Southampton Sabres #66 - a long time ago.
Army #7 - Tri-Services 2009

Coming soon to a sideline near you, complete with camera.

1) UK credit card will work, I had ACC Select last season on UK card.

2) ESPNU isn't available in UK on SKY or Cable

3) NASN are also showing Inside Lacrosse Season Preview show, & Season REVIEW in May/June. No regular season games scheduled so far.

In USA over 70 NCAA games will be televised this year including all play-off games in 2008

Good news on the ACC. I note that it says you watch live. Is that the only option or can it also be viewed afterwards and/or recorded?

Also, somebody said that the camera work and commentary is a bit sh1t. Any comments, Dave?

ACC Select is excellent coverage.

It varies between the four ACC schools for coverage, the Duke commentary and camera work was good with replays of goals etc

Some of the others weren't so good with commentators wanting to get face time even while the game was going on which is poor. All the games covered are archived so you should be able to watch last years games as well.

They don't cover all ACC games which is a shame but you do get womens lacrosse along with other ACC sports as well.

Watched it on WMP don't know how to record streaming webcast

Cool. I'm after Duke games, so this seems to be a good way to go. Cheers.

last year either cstv or espn (i forget which) showed the D3 and D2 (but not D1) finals live on a free webcast - have no idea if they showed any other games as i stumbled across these ones pretty much by accident

might be worth a look at again
