Re: Need a goalie for hitchin prem 2012 - 2013
To further on Bishop's ever so detail filled message:
Hitchin Lacrosse Club are currently searching for a new first team goalie. Mr Bamford is due to leave us in the coming weeks / months as he thinks life will be better living in Barcelona or something......don't know where he got that idea from, what with our summers and everything?!
Ideally we are looking for someone who has played at a decent level and has a good amount of top level experience, although this is not exactly 100% necessary. To be honest we are currently looking at stepping a player down from an out field position to play the season in goal Not ideal, so all interest is welcomed with wide open arms and a pint of your finest alcoholic beverage.....if you are that way inclined
Hitchin LC is based in the warmest / sunniest / cheapest place for beer (ish) in Hertfordshire, a short drive from Junction 10 on the M1 and about 5 minutes from the A1(M) and Stevenage, we are also on a direct train line out of London Kings Cross so if you live / study in London, you are looking at about a 30 minute train ride on the fast train out to the North of London. So all in all a very easy and accessible club for all We also have a couple of players who live in North London who drive up to training and games, so car sharing is also an option for those not based in Hertfordshire.
We train on a Wednesday evening at Hitchin Boy's School from 8pm until 9pm followed with a bit of fitness afterwards for those who are interested, attendance at these sessions is encouraged, but not mandatory in any way.
The club is looking to build on last years vast improvements and will be working very hard over the next couple of months to ensure we are in a position to compete at the top of the Premiership for the coming season. We are going to be playing a couple of friendlies in the next month so its a great time to tip up and show us what you've got!
Basically, thats about it, we would love to hear from anyone that might be interested, and to be fair that is true for all players, not just goalies (that's just a priority right now)
Cheers and do give us a shout if you think you might be interested,
Steve
PS - I apologise for Ray Harry already..........
PPS - You can also email me on stemcdlax@gmail.com if you don't want to bother Bishop
