Congratulations to Poynton and England's Sam Russell (Whittier College) who has been named an Honourable Mention Division 3 All-American

First English player to be honoured since Paul Fullerton (Mercyhurst College) was a Division 2 Honourable Mention in 2000

He should have been named on to the World team in 2008 U19 Worlds also!

James Symington (Poynton & England) played four years at Hobart College

Jamie was selected to the 2nd Team All American at Midfield in 1988

Poynton Players obviously travel quite well and Poynton LC have had success exporting players into NCAA.

Well Done to Sam Russell and all the Poynton Coaches who Coached him during his Junior development

Dave Carman (Herkimer College) is the only other English player I can think of who has received All-American honours - he was a First Team Junior College AA in 1994
