Drexel Lacrosse - History

Postby UKLaxfan Tue Dec 15, 2009 2:45 am

There is a FREE book online on the history of Drexel Lacrosse

Some quality pictures of lacrosse through the years and some fascinating anecdotal stories on the building of a lacrosse program

Hi Dave,
214 pages!!

we have a defender from the Drexel team of the late-90's playing at Rochdale now, it's really interesting that you also found this MAMMOTH book!

The club has also had 2 LDO's from the college in Craig Caputo who led us to the Junior Flags in 1999 and Matt Winkler not long afterwards. Around pg 180 mark!

From speaking to Lou Cugno now this era seems to be the one that took Drexel up a level. Both Matt and Craig are in the all-time points leaders.
I was once part of the winning Pop Lacrosse team that defeated Wigan in the 1992 Greater Manchester Youth Games.

Here's a 150 second video about how to earn more money with me

Craig Caputo's story is a good one ending with a win over Towson for first time in 23 years.

Didn't Dave Coldwell, the ELA developmet officer, play for Drexel in the mid 90s? For some reason my computer doesn't want me to download the pdf file.

He's on the list - 94-97 captaining in 97. He then went on to the dizzying heights of Welwyn lacrosse.

Another Drexel - Welwyn connection is Kyle Witt, who came across as our LDO and now lives here, still playing for us.

And Newcastle for the occasional game. That is, whenever he can get away from work, the wife and the kids.
