So can any one shed any light or even give an opinion on Prem 2.
Wilmslow and Rochdale are tied on 16 points, League Republic has Wilmslow in 4th with a better goal difference and Rochdale in 5th.
But Rochdale are better on head to head.
But if you read the NEMLA rules on League Republic it says.

5. Should two or more teams be equal in points in any division at the end of the league programme, the placings for the Championship promotion or relegation will be determined as follows. ie Head to head rules

So is this the end of the league programme in witch case Sheffield Steelers and Sheffield Uni go up, Leeds and Nottingham go down and we don't need to play the other three games.
Or are the other games part of the League programme in witch case the head to head rule does not come into play.
It also says the places for promotion and relegation not for fourth and fifth.

Comments and opinions please

The league table does not show accurately the positions. The league website that is used does not have any ability to put in the complex rules that are required. It will need manual adjustment from the Fixtures Sec to put it all right to show an accurate picture. You will probably find it all get corrected this afternoon or tonight.

You will find that Rochdale will be placed above Wilmslow by virtue of the better head to head. You will also find that Leeds will be placed above Norbury by virtue of the better head to head. All these league positions are then used to work out the fixtures for the remaining games.

All points still stand and are carried through, but the only thing to mention is that the current top 4 can't finish in 5th or below, and the bottom 4 can't finish in 4th or above.

Does that explain everything for you?

So, does the same rule apply for next season's Flags that the top 4 from the previous season are seeded?
Will the Semi's be redrawn this season after the Quarters, as in previous years?

That may be so and in my opinion correct, but the wording of the rules says at the end of the league programme not near the end to see who plays who in the final three games.
The rules need to be changed to allow for the new league structure.

True. I think you make a good point there.
The structure was drawn up last year and agreed by all clubs as a way forward.

Its always been made clear to the club contacts that the addition league games would be drawn up based on the league positions after everybody had played each other twice. It follows that the league rules are still valid at this point as they make it quite clear how to distinguish between clubs who are on the same points.

I think the main issue could come at the end of the campaign, and it wasn't originaly considered as a possible implication. The league championship rules give value to away goals in deciding who should receive a higher league position, but at the end of the full season campaign there will be some teams who have played more away games in a head to head and therefore have an unfair advantage in getting more away goals. Perhaps this should be looked at, and in the meantime hope it doesn't become an issue in deciding league placings at the end of this season!
