Are there any figures on the number of referees League North has available each week?

I only ask because there were 3 referees at the last Cheadle 1st team game, yet time & time again there are teams in lower divisions having to stand players down because they don't have a referee...

My personal experience is that there's more chance of being hurt in the lower divisions by players who aren't as quick or as skillful; - would it not be better to spread the refrees about to ensure that as many games as possible are covered?

I was told last week that there are a total of 22 panel referees. Though not all are aavailable every week!

You can check out if you are getting a ref each week by logging on to the league republic site under the refs tab.
The big games like Stockport/Cheadle/Mersey usually get two panel refs appointed. Apart from these games a few times in a season the refs get spread about the various leagues as much as possible.
