Newcastle 11 - 1 Liverpool

Newcastle secure their spot in Prem 2 next season, as long as the league stays as is.

Poynton travel to Newcastle tomorrow in a must win game if they want to be promoted to the Prem.

Just to add - much respect for Liverpool making every game this season, home and away, despite losing so many players over the summer.

Stockport closed out the season undefeated with wins against Timperley and Boardman 10-5 and 10 -2 respectively.
Another fine season, well done to all players and coaches

Slight correction - believe the final score was actually 4-14

Scores by quarter:
1-3
1-2
1-4
1-5

Of course I could have miswritten one - I'd completely lost the feeling in my hands during the "weather" before the game started. I've almost thawed out now...

14-5 was the score I think. 2 in the 2nd Q

Thanks to the Poynton lads for a cracking game today. Both teams were a bit leggy after their travails on Saturday, but it was more competitive than the score suggested I think.

Also, thanks to Rob Powell for coming down for the weekend and refereeing both games, especially for the Sunday!
The only time he takes his foot out of his mouth, is to put the other one in!
