Thought the goalie could be if 'it' goes over the halfway?

Cool thanks.

My goal keeper would get a nose bleed that far forward, so i won't worry about that.

Well I have never played offside in a mixed game so I really don't have any idea if that was the rule lol :)

Don't think there is an offside rule, just that goalies can't go beyond the halfway line and that 1:1 attack:defence ratio for the Fan.

i was told that you have to have at least three players either side of the far restrainer and the goalie could only go up to the far restriner, so a bit like in mens with the half way line but u get two thirds instead?! if that makes sense!

why thank you for your cheek mr stanford

womens is 3 players in the attacking 2/3rds and 4 players (one of whom is goalie) in defensive 2/3rds - rules there changed not so long ago from keeper not to cross halfway to allow them to restrainer

in mixed - problem is no standard set of rules exist (or at least well published and known) so each league/competition almost invariably sets their own, but generally have been played to womens with exceptions (most notably usually, but not, always checking), but many rule sets also do away with offisde rules (including I believe the main universities mixed league), so it will depend upon the competition you're playing in (bath this year was 10 a-side and mens offside rules). Also it should be noted mixed is almost always a few years behind womens adopting rule changes - partially due to the organisers knowledge of the womens rules I guess

Guys,

There are a set of mixed lacrosse rules - they were circulated to all Captains of Teams palying in the mixed lacrosse leagues, having been ok'ed by the ELA. There is indeed an offside, which is the same as in womens. The half way line doesn't come into the equation as there isn't one on womens / mixed pitch! The goalies may not cross their attacking restraining line, and neither may they score a goal - to do so would be a minor foul.

Hope that helps.

If anyone wants of a copy of the mixed rulebook and the umpire reference manual (the equivalent of a book containing all the AR's in mens) then PM me and I'll get some emailed out to you.
