Dylon instead of RIT

Postby CoyoteLJW Mon Apr 29, 2013 5:41 pm

Does anyone know if Dylon dye will take to the plastic of a lacrosse head despite the fact it is a fabric dye? I know RIT isn't strictly for plastics, it's just bloody potent stuff, I'm wondering if Dylon is the same.

Dylon works, but I found it doesn't give as vibrant colours. It also seems to fade a lot faster than Rit dye in the sun.

You would need to use the Dylon in the little silver circular tins with coloured stars on, but seeing as though Jay has RIT at Northern Soul, I'd just get it from him, its far easier and you get far better colours as hatswell says!

Thanks guys, Looks like northern soul just made a sale and I'm going to have to do some experimenting to get a vivid neon green.
