Brine Kings

Postby hatswell Mon Nov 14, 2011 1:49 am

Looking to buy a new pair of gloves. Upgrading from my RBK 9k which I really love but they are coming to the end of their lives. A few reviews on different forums say that Brine Kings 1, 2 and 3s are very flexible but don't have much protection. Can anyone recommend good gloves with decent protection and a lot of flexibility?

would agree with SOur, personally wouldn't consider the Kings an upgrade over the 9Ks

So it's probably worth me getting another pair of 9ks?

If you like them, why not?

Good point! I just wanted to see if the kings were any good or of anyone had any other suggestions on similar gloves.

Harrow torrents, those gloves are SICK! My high school did a team order of them, and the new maverik romes are sick. But ALOT more expensive.

I stopped wearing my King 2s when we got custom Maverik Maybachs for France. I liked them so much I continued to wear them during the NEMLA season and sold my Kings.

I liked the flexibility of the Kings but the protection level was sub par, and I continually found myself with bruised fingers. The Maybachs are a nice mix between flexibility and protection, but so are the 9Ks once they get broken in.

However the stitching on both the Kings and Maybachs has let me down a little.

not a big fan of the 9K or 10K gloves they are ok if you have small hands or like tight gloves

Mac daddys great protection good fit
League restructure I told you so 10/3/2011(looking good on this one)
Prem division to two leagues will result in the prem division failing and being combined with Nemla 22/3/2012
the proposed restructure to 8 teams in each prem league will only last a couple of years until it has to be restructured again due to teams dropping out. 13/12/2012

I've had my Kings IIs for a while and when it comes to flexibility and feel on your stick they are fantastic but you do sacrifice protection for that especially on the the thumb.

Just got a new pair of Maybachs and while they have only had a couple of outings so far they seem fantastic. Much more protection but still really comfortable and flexible.
