Natty slacks? :?

The dapper top-of-the-range wool/silk blend pantalons that you saw me with were unfortunately slightly too short.

A very hearty congratulations to every single player who has made the squad and have a great trip to Finland.

On a personal note I am delighted to see Baggers on the team and I am sure he will give his all for the squad. Shame not to see Wavey on the squad but someone has to make the call on the squad.

32, not exactly over the hill! only a couple of years between him and bagley! Oh and was i imagining the fact that he spent christmas with the colorado mamounth? probably, i had a lot of egg noch this year.

congrats to all that not got in, not trying to take anything away from anyone about the selection process. It jus seems that its any old excuse goes when it comes to picking a southener (who is english) for the England squad deosn't it?

I haven't got one of them disclaimer post things, but these are obviously only my veiws and are in no way derogitory to english lacrosse or the england team/management.
Unfortunately my university careaer is about to end, and i shall be returning ti te good ol shire of herts. A fond farewell to the cougars and glos uni! see you at reunion!

it was only meant to be a joke Naz hence the lightbulbs !

Obviously the coaches have to draw the line somewhere and i'm sure its not a fun job.

You have to remember that box lacrosse is a completely different game! Also im sure that wavey will agree, that he had tough competition within the attacking midfield role.
I highly doubt the fact that him being from the south had anything to do with selection and he hasnt been ruled out from selection for the 2010 world cup.

Were Sheffield not just promoted back to the prem?

Its nice to see a mix of clubs contributing to the england set up though. Bagley could be the start of a flood of southern england stars!!

Jack Simpson (Rochdale/England) first made England Team when Rochdale were Div 3

He was a good cricketer as well and winner of 1984 Moustache of the Year :D

Jack was an excellent all round sportsman now a single figure golf handicapper, perhaps of more significance than his excellently groomed porn star tash, was his fashion sense which he ,unlike the facial hair, retains to this day. An ablity to wear his trousers around his chest line and an uncanny shoe sense ensuring that the shoe colour always matches the trouser colour, very fetching indeed when you slacks are red or yellow.

Jack also retained the perfect automobile accompaniment ...... a red 3.0 litre fuel injected Ford Capri complete with "double smokers"

ROCK ON JS, he knows where he belongs...........the Rockerdale

Good luck in Finland. I've seen them play a few times and they look a very good squad.

Congratulations to all who made the squad. Good luck in Finland and watch out for Spain with Robert Raul Messenger.

On another note, the whole north/south selection thing needs to be put to bed. I have not seen wavey or others play but presume that the coaches did at the trials and training sessions and did not consider him to be suitable for final selection. On this basis, I can only presume he was not the strongest player for the role/position available on this occassion.

The squad containing players from clubs outside the Northern Premiership is an excellent sign and suggests to me at least that the players at the trials and selections were judged very much on their ability rather than club or name within the sport.

Having played Hampstead this year in the end of season north/south match, I was certainly impressed by the standard of play from Hampstead, albeit they were predominantly unavailable for selection for England owning to them being American/Canadian.

I hope in the future the England Squad can be made up of players from across the Country as this can only be good for the sport.

Once again, good luck lads, hope you bring back the trophy!
