Spend more time discussing equipment than practising and playing wall ball.

(Some gammers could even get rid of their gammer status if they actually practiced as much at lax as they talked about it on LaxForums)

Do the 'power cradle', they also carry on running believing they still have the ball, when they actualy dropped it 20m downfield!

And claim they used to play for Wales when really all they did was watch a game.
(Soton guys know who I mean)

Come on Soton Enlighten us .....

a while ago we found ourselves a pretty definitive Gammer, perhaps a challenger to the gammer throne. He came to our recruitment fair and said that he had played for Wales which got us pretty excited as we needed a few decent players as we had lost a fair players few in the summer. He also said he was a short stick D, which we found a bit odd. He also kept telling us about the "centre for excellence" which was in fact was just Pernarth. Anyway he turned up to our training and was absolutely rubbish kept giving the ball away, and just twiddling his stick constantly and doing nothing with the ball he also never fought for anything resembling a ground ball. His bold statements of excellence continued, his first team place however did not. In fact the seconds weren't overly keen on taking him either. lol

Haha? Not saying I am in awe of a welsh international, but a decent one would be a good addition to any university team in the South

Did you do a Google search for "Gammer" to find that clip? I love the look of self-satisfaction on his face when he walks back past the camera, displaying that the ball actually did remain in his stick throughout the 'trick'.

How about the sweat-band just under the knee?

Not sure if it's a trait of a gammer, but it looks f*<king stupid

a true gammer probably would have done the 'trick' however, would have spent the best part of an hour filming attempts involving 'hitting head with shaft', 'poking out eye', and 'breaking dad's car window'.

I'd better get myself one then! I'm sure there might be a pair of Leyton Orient sweat-bands in my mum's loft somewhere.

Do 2 sweat-bands make you double-cool?
