The 2013 Yorkshire Cup was won by Sheffield University, regaining the title from the Presidents Select. The students never really got out of second gear as they regained the title with wins over Sheffield Steelers and a Presidents Select squad drawn from players across the region.

The Presidents Select looked well set to retain the title with a 6-4 victory over Sheffield Steelers in the opening game. However, in their second game, despite holding the students at half-time 2-2, the ultimatly lost 7-3. Sheffield University then went on to beat Sheffield Steelers 4-2 to retake the title they won in 2010 and 2011.

This event served as the main trial for the Yorkshire Senior squad this year and a 29-man training squad has been selected which will be trimmed in April before the BNCs in May.

Many thanks to Sheffield Steelers and the University of Sheffield for hosting and to Wilf Seville, Chris Dale & Josh Barlow for officiating.
