So with applications in and the selection committee being picked this coming weekend i think, who else is going for it? I know of at least two others on the southern panel.
I've been busy last week working out all the games and tournaments i can/cannot do for the rest of this season and trying to work out how best to train for the fitness test.
Going to set aside time each week to hit the rule book as well, trying to use things i notice i'm not 100% on during games as a study guide and hopefully some feedback from the referee assessment forms the teams should be completing will help as well.

I would have thought a young lad like you would be fine on the fitness test, I on the other hand may need to lose a stone or 2 and sort out suspect knee and groin.
Anyone know how many are selected from Enlgand for the tournament?

Don't worry about the extra few pounds, its the oxygen tanks you will be carrying that will be the main problem

Yeah its the altitude that is going to be a killer, hence why I am planning a heavy training package.

Fitness wise, one answer - Hill sprints. They will dramatically increase your speed, power, strength, recovery and cardiovascular fitness.
Any injuries give me a shout, can recommend top physios across the country.

Well the Selection Committee has been announced so as to choose the England officials for Denver 2014;
Rodney Burns (Chair)
Graham Lester
Peter McGinnety
and Chris Parker
Plenty of dates come out for assessments, our first one down south is this weekend at the Cambridge v Oxford varsity games.
Looks like 18 applicants but not sure for how many spots yet.
