So lets all raise a glass. Fantastic footballer, even better drinker.

Lets go and get plastered before the all important cup games tomorrow! Students, select your drink of choice

watching sky sports news, some guy was saying "forget pele, forget marradona, best was simply the best"!!??

just thinking, why do all footy legends have issues?

if it aint drinking/violence/loads of illigimate children/groupies its something else!!

Great Footy Players

Postby UKLaxfan Sat Nov 26, 2005 1:40 pm

Not all great Footy players have issues

Franz Beckenbauer
Bobby Moore
Bobby Charlton
Jurgen Klinsmann
Gary Lineker
Kevin Keagan
Peter Schmeichel

The brighter the player the less likely they go off the rails.

Mr Rooney is a disaster waiting to happen.

Best was fantastic footballer but died from alcoholism.

Give a 19yr old 50K a week and just sit back and watch the bad times role.

Favourite George Best story, George was in a Hotel room with a beautiful women, he had just won £25,000 in the Casino and had ordered Champaigne on room service. He was feeling frisky so spread all the cash over the bed with the lovely lady rolling around in the money...

A little Irish porter walks in and delivers the Champaigne and looks at the scene & George recognising him instantly, and just says "where did it all go wrong?"

sadly, bestie was a a genius with a football but like so many geniuses, that is geniei, he was flawed and had to wrestle with the demons that came alongside his genius... and i cant help but agree - rooney may well go the same way (gazza s career is almpst too similar to compare) lets hope not tho!
