Why support Syracuse University Lacrosse?

Postby UKLaxfan Thu May 03, 2012 6:49 pm

I've supported Syracuse University Lacrosse since the first time I saw them in 1984

here are a couple of reasons why...

I have to say though, their brand of lacrosse played recently, especially over the last year, has been entirely uninspiring.

UNC on the other hand have been fast, dynamic and a pleasure to watch.

Ever since I started watching/playing lacrosse I have followed Loyola as it was the first game I ever saw. After many years of being slapped about by the big boys and battling Denver and Fairfield in the ECAC finally looking the real deal! Then lost to the perenial enemy Hopkins so wheels might be about to come off big style.

But im a Spurs fan as well, so used to that feeling.

True, they came alive tonight. But was it mainly to do with sloppy Villanova defence? I guess we'll find out over the next week or two provided they beat St Johns.

The Play-offs started last night for Syracuse

if they lose any game from now on they are out

Loyola are legit in 2012

I was amazed by Hopkins loss, Loyola are good

ACC are strong and will probably provide the eventual Champion UNC, UVA, UMD & Duke could all win it

as long as Hopkins get embarrassed in the Play-offs I'm happy

I don't enjoy the way they play or the way the Coach behaves

I think you're right, it looks like an ACC team or Hopkins (much to your displeasure) will take it this year. Possibly Notre Dame but they'll need to score 8+ goals per game.

Much as I'd love to see someone like UMass, Loyola or Lehigh go all the way, there are A LOT of big dogs to take down and the NCAA tournament is very unforgiving.

Care to throw out a prediction?
I'm going for Duke - they're solid in every area of the field except goalkeeping. If Wigrizer can play well, they'll be the ones to beat.

I think that the smart money should go to the ACC teams FFS (fitter faster stronger, not the other one) all over the field. Would be annoyed in Hopkins gets there as there are better teams, ND despite the St Johns loss are excellent and Kevin Corrigan seems to know his business.
