Lacrosse History

Postby Blind Zebra Sun Aug 28, 2011 6:24 pm

Tim Lowe, a retired Mellor player, is interested in compiling a history of lacrosse in England. He writes;

'To make a history of lacrosse viable I think there would need to be a section on each club with photos - hopefully vanity would create enough sales to make the project work.

Ideally I would like to find some students who could undertake research possibly to link with their studies. I would be keen to edit and publish. This could be broken into sections - north, south, universities, counties, early history etc

I am out of touch with the game but come from an area (Mellor) and family steeped in the traditions of the game. It would be great to see the sport on library and bookshop shelves.'

If anyone is interested in getting involved pm me your e mail address and I'll pass it on to Tim.

In glorious Black & White at a pitch near you.
