just play with it lol. Simple as. What i did/ do to make it more comfortable when you actually play, is stand at home watching telly or whatever you like to do that doesnt use your hands, just stand and cradle lefty throwing in some changes of hands. Cradling both two handed and one for a bit. Findes it gets the left a lot more comfotable to use and you end up doing it automatically in a game when needed :)

HOPE I HELPED!!! :D x

Pretend to be Canadian :D

a lot of Canadian Box Lacrosse players are naturally right handed in every day life but play lacrosse LEFTY!

This is because they have the dominant (stronger) hand at the bottom of the stick, and they use it for 1-handed & Indian Pick-ups on the smooth Indoor Arena surfaces. The bottom hand is used to cradle and for Power focusing more on PULL than PUSH when passing or shooting.

So simple really?

Just play Canadian eh! :D

That's like in ice hockey, in the US players are taught to have their strong hand lower on the stick to provide more power, while in Europe players tend to use their strong hand at the top of the stick for more control, stick handling etc.

Back on topic, just walk around with your stick in your left hand as much as possible, and work on it in training and on your own with a bit of wall ball. It's easiest to get the hand of it when you just start out, so you develop both sides at the same time. Players like myself who have played for years but focused on just one hand find it a lot harder to train their off hand to the same level.

Lookat your technique for your righty in a mirror. Look at your movements and hand placements etc in front of a mirror then try and replicate them on the left side.

Back at Lilleshall many years ago...........

The basketball squad where present and they were given an un-natural hand day. So if you were a righty you changed everything to left handed - writing, eating, unzipping you flies, etc. The argument being that the more natural everything became on the weaker wing the more comfortable your body and mind became with the reverse action and processing. It might be worth a try.

Reverse mirror image may not be the optimum way to perfect the correct technique - often a buddy throwing at close distance to you on his right and your left will enable you to identify each others faults and rectify it quickly. Especially works well on a quick stick drill about 3m apart. Don't be afraid to criticise each other and discuss what is happening - also praise when it's due.
