Considering how strict the NCAA has become on faceoffs im amazed he could get away with it (that is if he did).

He must be lightening quick

From Inside Lacrosse:

Delaware’s prolific face-off specialist Alex Smith made history Wednesday, as he broke the NCAA record for career face-off victories. Smith won 15 of 19 face-offs in a 9-8 loss to Georgetown, breaking the previous benchmark of 838 career face-off wins and stretching his own record to 846 wins at the face-off X.

Talking on handling the ball.
Seen the hidden ball trick where you flip it the into the cuff of your glove?

Cardiff used (or attempted to use) said trick in the uni tournament in 2006. it went wrong when the ball fell out unexpectedly.
