The claw is a super middie move which completly out plays the other guy from the face allowing you to feely pick up the ball! Only to be defeated by the ALAMO, or the CRUNCH! lol and both involve pain!

next time you're up north wez i'll show you!

I've got a good one. Its a move we southeners call "the driveby".
when the ref calls "face", one of your substitues drives the minibus onto the field taking out the other teams face man while narrowly missing you. You then freely stand up and pick up the ball.

This adds to a good fast break due to the out of control minibus veering across the field allowing you to saunter up to goal and score.

Next time you're down south I'll show you

Get your stick under his, lift it up, check him off the ball and kick the ball through his legs starting a fast break for your team.
Nb
Make sure you are bigger than the payer you try it on.

cant win at face? do the moose. whistle goes, stand up and dig a spade check into their ribs. actually a winning formula.

We employed a variation of Wez's Driveby against swansea. I've related the story before, we had a newby playing on the wing and were being tw*ted by Swansea. Our captain told Jenga (said newb) to 'get stuck straight in'
Whistle goes and Jenga sprints from the wing drops his shoulder and absolutely ruins the swansea faceman, hilarious.

Face-off men

Postby UKLaxfan Sat Aug 11, 2007 11:18 pm

Quote from another Forum on Face-offs:

"And in case people forgot, FO guys are sick, twisted, obsessed, maniacal experts who know the mechanics of the draw situation far better than anyone else on the field and will adapt to any conditions they are placed in. Instead of hating on the best, how about coaches and critics of skilled FO men go out and learn more about FO so they can coach theirs to be better."
