I happen to be a proud owner of one of these wands! (the first Gen!)
As 15P20 points out the new G-Force 2nd Gen have been changed and use rubber all over them, this increases the weight and franky i just dont like the rubber bits!! (see pic 3!)

This head is solid and with the turret like bits, makes the pinch really nice for catching and throwing, it's not a spade! The weight is average for a D-Head but durability wise it seems sound.

It's currently strung with a custom mesh Jimalax pocket inc double sidewalls to allow for high or low pocket, 2 U shooters and a nylon upper. I've used a new method of top stringing which supposidly helps to spread the stress more when catching.

In all this would make a great D-Head
I may sell her, so if you're interested PM me an make me an offer and we'll see, please bear in mind this is a hardly used FIRST GENERATION G-FORCE, they are quite rare now.
Pics (FIRST GEN, then SECOND GEN to show the difference!)

I bought a 2nd Gen G force last year and cracked it in the first game at the neck. It was very cold that day! But it is still useable but i have a nightmare stringing it. I like a head with a good bit of hold and a throw which i can feel the ball in the stick. I just can't manage this with the g-force i have changed the mesh twice too. I am not a great stringer but i haven't even got close to the kinda head i want. :(

Send it my way and I'll do it for you!

The trick is to use a double side wall. This gives you the freedom to place the mesh where you want it. i double all my sidewalls now, its much better! Especially with the unique sidewall holes that the G-Force has!

Suprisingly it's not that bad, pretty average weight for a defenders head!
But there again D men don't really want light heads as they're more likely to break in the D man environment!

I've still got one STX BIONIC left in white with white hard Jimalax mesh if anyone is interested, just drop me a PM!

1st gen were good but weak.
2nd gen have shallower front scoop and are very week got through 4 in one season so dont use them any more Revo Pro are best good mix of weight/stiffness wide scoop and narrow throat.
about the best M series by brine are good for stiffness but all are have a bad feel and are shapped like a spoon.
best ever edge 2 bu rare to find new ones if possible at all

My brother uses a Helix for face off, he likes the reverse flare side walls, but there no imporvment on the warping, it's now all bent and pinched!

I've got one just for messing with and its great, light weight and fairly strong, goes well with a light shaft, I have it on the Eurolax C555 - super.

I don't really think its a D man head though?! Good for middies and attack, but still warps on the face!

A head would need to be made of concrete for it not to warp on the face!!

yeah, I'm not saying that all other head don't warp, just that it's warped quite a bit in the time it's been used, this rate of warpage didn't happen with the Evo Pro!!

But for all with warped heads, unstring it, place it in a sink full of hot boiling water and it should correct itself somewhat!

my current set up is a Brine Vapour soft mesh custom V pocket! the scoop is great and retention is good too without sacrificing passing speed distance or accuracy! not too sure about the strength. It's good but does flex a little too much (suppose it's better than it snaping though)!

Anyway, Has anyone played with a Brine Ti 22 defence shaft for any length of time?? how easy does it dent bend etc? My Ignite supra as beautifully light and fast but it dents really easy havent bent it too badly yet though!

cheers

i thought general concensus was that the wizard had been discontinued but it is still on the new Gait Website (which is much better than the old one) so i do wonder.
the majority of the cost of manufacturing a head must be in tooling up the machine so it whouldn't theoretically be too expensive to keep making, or even start remaking a head
