Re: How can we grow Women's Lacrosse?

"University is one of the entry points for Lacrosse for Men & Women and benefits from the social side of University sports." For men, yes, I agree.. for women. less sure. For mixed lacrosse perhaps, intercollegiate sport, but long term growth from that group of individuals - no so sure...

Re: How can we grow Women's Lacrosse?

On a different post you talk about young girls playing against older girls in Australia and how that contributes to their competitiveness. I disagree, to some extent, about Universities being this untapped haven for talent. I think that University is too late in this country to help the elite. In th...

Re: Is Women's Lacrosse in Decline in the UK?

Japan vs England was an incredible game of lacrosse. Watching a six foot plus girl playing a four foot something players was very entertaining! It is Japans first ever win in women's lacrosse against a 'top four' team, and their fans were ecstatic....

Re: Get to Know ArchLevel Lacrosse

I think that the archlevel report doesn't require 'endorsement' to report news/run features.
And you do talk about the 'UK' in a few of your posts on laxforums!

There are three home nations. But archlevel only appears to cover one!

Re: Get to Know ArchLevel Lacrosse

I'd be interested to see how your women camps do down. I know that it would be a great experience to be at a camp with KK. However, with a majority of girls not knowing who she is (especially U10/12!), never having seen her play (because so little is televised), I'd be surprised if they do fill up. ...

Re: New GB Council Ruling

If i have read correctly: If a young girl wants to move away from England for whatever reason to Wales or Scotland, she requires to give notice and spends a number of months not playing. Are England spotting trends and worried about something? It doesn't seem to make clear if the same is true for a ...

Re: Concussions

Currently , I think there is no strong evidence to say that mouth guards prevent concussion. (that doesn't mean that they dont, but just that no one has proven it scientifically). It is difficult to prove it, because they are relatively few and far between and there is such a wide range of symptoms ...

Re: Harrow Carbon Graphite Men's Shafts

I went through a period of liking composite sticks. I had a howitzer that lasted me a couple of years. Then a field attack, a brine composite and a rbk 9k which snapped in the same year, not without persuasion - (cross) checks. Went to metal, said I wouldnt go back, and then on a US trip this year b...

Re: Butt end rules

Au contraire... in the womens game: a) Loose side-wall strings are limited to 4cm. b) I cannot find anything specific on shooting strings, but personally would use the 4 cm as a guide to assist me when performing the pre-game stick-check. c) There are four pages in latest womens rule book on the cr...

Re: TopJLax | TopJLax & ArchLevel Lacrosse - Oxford v Cambri

I think the point is that there is little evidence of lacrosse in the photo. It could be a crowd watching croquet?! or maybe boules? or even Michael Atherton giving a speech.

Re: The Great Big Bad Durham Thread

I can only see whats happening at Durham as a good thing. Simply because it will hopefully encourage more universities to invest more money in their lacrosse teams. Yes, because there is lots of spare money flying round education institutions at the moment. In fact, I heard that the government want...

Re: Durham Uni v Stockport ! Any chance ?

I think it is a wise decision for Stockport not to play Durham University for Stockport's benefit There is nothing to gain and everything to lose. ATM Stockport can finish undefeated as League & Flags winners & win the Iroquois Cup + Wilkinson Sword Trophy on Top Which would be a tremendous...

Simples. Goggles Yay. Helmets Nay. Eyes soft and squidgy. Head hard and stiffy. Stop them from hitting each other on the head, but protect their eyes from the errant/accidental flying ball. I particularly like the line of "players being held accountable." Quite how they plan on enforcing t...

Latex? Really? Make sure you're not allergic. I hate wearing gloves at work when dealing with patients as my hands sweat and there's no way for the moisture to escape. me too, but picking my nose and sticking it wounds was getting frowned on. nice, tight fitting, stretchy latex gloves. and given al...

You should run alongside this a poll of which club has the most (teenage?!) forum users.....
You would probably get similar results!
