In the BUSA leagues failing to fulfill fixtures result in the offending teams being deducted 3 points and the other team being awarded the 3 points and the walkover (usually 1-0). If this isn't enough to ensure commitment then I agree, substantial fines should be introduced. If the league restructur...

Speaking on behalf of one of the new/uni clubs potentially looking to enter the league, restructuring is a brilliant idea from our point of view. I recognise that it may be annoying for someone to go from playing similar standard A and B sides weekly (in a smaller 1st side) to having to play sub-sta...

York were awarded the walkover, beacuse Sheffield couldn't field a team due to exam committments and some late drop outs apparently. Shame as everyone was really up for the game after our poor show last week.

So.. York 6 - 0 Sheffield (I think thats the walkover score?)

Guys, considering it is a long way for cardiff, warwick etc I'm gonna look into maybe a 4way tourny, invite the RAF as well, make a day of it. I'll post when I've talked to captains, groundsmen, our AU etc.

2nd team/fresher games wanted

York men's second team are looking for fixtures over the next few weeks against sides of a similar (beginner) standard. We can provide pitch, referees and changing facilities. Assuming most 1st teams are playing on Wednesdays, weekends would probably be best, so if anyone fancies a match on the foll...

Ha! You wanna check out the situation at York. With regards to pitches, we have a relatively nice one when the groundsmen take time out of their busy schedules to mark it, but we're pushing for a second/training pitch. Traditionally Lacrosse also has a very strong presence on our AU; of the 12 posit...

NEMLA website

Unless I'm being a complete idiot and can't find the page, why does SEMLA have what appears to be a very comprehensive and regulalry updated website whereas NEMLA doesn't? I know it takes a lot of time to create and maintain a website, but surely it would be in all clubs' and players' interests to h...

BUSA North - Missing Tracksuits

After reading what went on in the Midlands heat, my issue seems slightly trivial. However, at the BUSA North tourny, two York tracksuits went missing. They were left on the sidelines during our second game, against Edinburgh at 11:15ish, but weren't there when we came back. I hope that we simply los...

I think this year could well come down to points difference, particularly in the top four. Good bets are obviously Cheadle, with Liverpool and Newcastle looking nice, but I'll be interested to see how Sheffield fare. By my understanding, they're affiliated/made up of/train with the steelers, so it s...

Whilst we occasionally get a bit of one off training sessions from our alumni, York Uni don't have any designated coaching. Again it would depend on the distance you're willing to travel, but feel free to contact our captain Bo on bjee500@york.ac.uk to discuss details.

Brooklands and/or Timperley Summer Training

Hey, I live in Sale and was wondering whether Brooklands or Timperley train over Summer and if so what day(s)/time(s). Been playing for York Uni firsts for a year and was wondering if there's a team/level at whcih it'd be suitable to train with?

I tried emailing both but got no reply!?
