To be honest, it's always going to be a case of every time you use it, having to "un-pinch" it again. Best bet is gonna be store it with a hockey ball/mug in it after every use. Once sticks have pinched a lot from face-off, it's almost impossible to get them back to normal, especially if y...

If Chippie's right, then shouldn't the Midlands be 1A and 2A in the same way that the North is? Ie 1 is the higher league, and letters only signify geographical conferences?

 Apologies to any Oxford players. HYaving said that, Cambridge appear to have taken a totally different view and play their 'city' team in SEMLA and a development uni team in BUCS, at the expense of success/ results in BUCS. I know that this was put forward by York's coach this year due to the...

If you do well over the next few seasons there's no reason why you should actually dip back down. The more established teams started somewhere, and after a few good seasons began getting a reputation as a strong lax playing uni, thus attracting the better players. So far I would only really class Sh...

Not a chance. There's a lot of teams who could say the same. Sheff uni arguably being one of the best 5 or 6 uni teams in the country (perhaps higher!) However, bucs laid out the criteria for getting into the prem earlier in the season, in keeping with other comparable new sports, and won't change t...

Isn't the point that for retention purposes having it clash with another, more popular sport would be unwise?

By the time most make it to the senior squad they have already decided which sport they will prioritise.

I've heard it slated a bit because one crack or break makes the whole stick unusable. On a conventional stick you could just switch the head or shaft.

A refreshing suggestion. The major problem i see is if you only get two or three teams selecting an option. Also it would seem to allow an incredibly weak team to enter the top league. Wouln't be very productive for the weak team or the super club teams winning 40 nil. (sorry to be pointing out all ...

Great suggestion!!! A lot (but by no means all) of the new teams are dependent on uni players or struggle with constant long distance fixtures. This seems to result in a lot of walkovers and unfilled fixtures, be it their fault or their opponents'. Smaller leagues with less fixtures may make it more...

I have to agree. Transport is absolutely no excuse for a first team. What would happen if the manchester clubs suddenly couldn't make the trip to nottingham because they didn't have enough cars? In my eyes if we want lacrosse in the UK to reach the highest standard then we have to lose the small clu...

Agree with most of the above wrt option 3. And in no way do i intend to comment on or disagree with durham uni's recruitment policies this season when i say: Durham Chester and any other new teams should start at the bottom. Whether they are strong or not will be determined over their first season w...

Goal difference raises the whole issue of walkovers and teams being willing to settle for a small loss rather than pushing for a good win. IMHO the current structure seems fair. Teams have all season to amass more points than the other teams. If at the end they're on the same total points then it wo...
