Lancashire Cup Group A: Ashton 10-8 Hull Q1: Ashton 4-0 Hull Q2: Ashton 4-2 Hull Q3: Ashton 2-2 Hull Q4: Ashton 0-4 Hull Great credit to Ashton as they won this game in the first half. The long break since our last game and missing 10 players did us no favours. Almost managed to pull it back, but As...

Re: South or Counties
Mischief making! So Gaz, to why do you believe there might be apathy amongst the Cheshire and Lancashire 'elite'? Could be many reasons and not necessarily from players. There could be apathy with regard to people not wanting to organise trials and training, there could be apathy from players with ...

Re: South or Counties
Been reading this with interest and agree with the pom, keep it elite. The SEMLA County Championship certainly needs time to grow. With regard to the lack of training & trials of Lancashire & Cheshire, I think the arguement about lack of opportunity last year is a bit week. Yorkshire managed...

Premier 3: Hull P-P Chester
They cannot raise a team and requested we rearrange. Given we have already had 2 teams concede when coming to us, the chance for a home match to be played was better than just taking the points.
Will probably be played in Jan/Feb time.

Re: League north restructure
There is definatly a new team entering NEMLA next season. They have their ground sorted, permanent training base sorted, bought their legal goals, kit on the way and have already addressed the big issue of how they will get to away games. They are scheduling friendlies this season against clubs such...

Re: Fading light
On the issue of fading light and in reference to the Durham 2s vs. Hull BUCS match on wednesday I have a question on the ruling. If a goalkeeper reports via his coach/captain that he cannot see the ball due to the loss of light. What is supposed to happen? I mean within the rules of the game. My per...

Re: BUCS results 23/11/11
Actually the Durham 2s-Hull game got underway at 2:45pm playing 20min quarters. The delayed start was due to the refs for the game playing for Durham 1sts. As soon as our keeper indicated he could no longer see the ball I spoke with the officials and the game was stopped. Durhams keeper stated as le...

YCLA Freshers Fest 2011
YCLA Fresher's Fest took place yesterday (Sunday 13th November) at Hull University and was a great success. The day started with a minutes silence on Rememberance Sunday which was well respected by all. We had all 9 Universities that entered turn-up bringing 130 lacrosse players with them supported ...

Re: Stockport Cup 2012 (schedule)
I was sure there was something in the recent NEMLA minutes about how the flags themselves are almost unuseable now and perhaps all trophies should be retired and new ones brought in for the new structure.

Don't Leeds Met also have some kid called Ryan Sweetman playing there this season. I'm pretty sure he is in the England U19 squad!
If we are talking about best English player playing lacrosse at University right now then surely its Jack Vav at Stony Brook?!?!

Premier 3 Hull 15-3 Ashton Q1: 3-0 Q2: 5-2 Q3: 5-0 Q4: 2-1 I have been told that after the first quarter - maybe second quarter - Ashton abandoned there zone defence as it was creating more chances for Hull than it was stopping. Three refs on the field looked to control to game well - Hull Home Refe...

Re: European Club Championship 2011
If we are looking for the best TEAM in Europe, surely Durham University firsts would be top of the list. But they won't be invited to enter by ELF or ELA. Why would they be? They're a shark in a goldfish bowl, how often do they actually play against good teams? There is no metric for comparison wit...

If we are looking for the best TEAM in Europe, surely Durham University firsts would be top of the list. But they won't be invited to enter by ELF or ELA. To Farsta's credit to be crowned the best you must show up to the event. They did and appear to have dominated all but Blues on there way to the ...
