Re: League north structure

Dalglish, I think it is a bit chicken and egg. You need a strong junior programme to ensure sustainability of a club, but you need an adult exit route to draw in the juniors and have that base of volunteers to get the juniors going. If/When we have our junior programme up and running it will not be ...

Re: League north structure

Also pom, if we were still in the old 5 Division structure and your clubs C Team was stripped of its players that would leave them conceding the game and the new-start first team without a game. The bigger issue with the structure is the gulf in class, but I agree with webby that yu only get better ...

Re: fish and chip shop league

We write a match report every week that goes onto our club website and when possible it goes onto the thisishullandeastriding website. Didn't realise the content of the NEMLA report was down to submission from the clubs.

Firstly Spence as if you drew anyone's attention to that list. And secondly only our student members actually live in Hull. The rest of us all live in East Yorkshire!

Who will win NEMLA Premier 3?

So now the fixtures are out who do you think will win Premier 3 and who will get the second promotion spot - if there is one.

NEMLA used to send out a contact sheet at the start of each season but I haven't seen an updated one for a while so does anyone know who to contact at City of Stoke LC?

Re: Complain to the BBC

Perhaps this is the starting point for the pressure:

BBC Local Services can post regional sports news and there are examples - BBC Tees/BBC Tyne & Wear have previously reported on Durham

Re: Complain to the BBC

How difficult can it be for the BBC to give even minimal coverage to lacrosse. If you click "More Sports" on the BBC Sport website you have the following to choose from: American Football, Archery, Athletics, Badminton , Baseball, Basketball, Bowls, Boxing, Canoeing, Cycling , Darts, Disab...

Re: Latest Standings (Men)

Ultimately, I think Dalglish said it, whatever it is it's working so why change it? Maybe the benefits of unsettling the oppo with the aggressive style outweigh the negatives of the man down. I can't remember seeing that many extra-man goals in the two games I've seen (apart from comical two-man-zo...

Re: Yorkshire Shield results 12/5/12

Sorry to correct you Matt, but Leeds Met win the Yorkshire Shield last year. But this does complete Leeds' treble - Premier 3, Lancashire Cup, Yorkshire Shield. As for Sheffield University, they were invited to send a suitable team, but the Yorkshire Shield always clashes with their AGM. Forget to m...

Re: Question for All NEMLA Players

Also Phil, Trent and Notts Club reps were notified of the Yorkshire trials and it was posted to the East Midlands Lax group. A report on Trent's season was sent to the YCLA AGM by Tom Giddings via Bob McEwan. Nottingham always used to send a rep to YCLA meetings but unfortunately during the past yea...

Re: English Universities Team 2012

Not normally one to defend Durham, but we had 4 players from Durham trial for Yorkshire and 2 of there players represented Yorkshire at the 2011 BNCs.

The difficulty we have had with Durham is contacting them about things like BNCs squad trials.

Re: Question for All NEMLA Players

I think that issue of England coaches seeing little value in the BNCs is a thing of the past. The current England Senior & U19 coaches seem to have encouraged players to get involved and play for there counties, at least from a Yorkshire perspective. In 2011, the U19s released Adam Jordan & ...
