Re: MPC meeting update

Why? Surely your club circulates them? Why not put them on here?? No club I have ever been a member of has circulated the MPC meeting minutes! Although having said that, I think they are posted on the ELA website. Or at least I remember once seeing MPC Minutes on the old website some time ago... Do...

Re: Updated SEMLA Clubs Checklist

Referees It is a condition of every Club's membership of SEMLA to have one official qualified to Basic Referee Award level for every team entered in the League plus one extra within the Club, the expectation is that one of them at least will referee the game. See SEMLA Bye Law 4 for more details on...

Re: Closest Central London Mens Club (Farringdon).

I also searched and found similar clubs but as manc said many dont offer mens or maybe a university team which dont play during summer etc. I will continue looking. I commute from Milton Keynes so no clubs here. Closest to me I guess are Oxford (weekday training prevents me), Northampton (universit...

Re: Lacrosse at London Live

Looking forward to this! Any news on how the Hyde Park event went? It went really well! Weather wasn't perfect, and there was a bit of rain, but we had an endless supply of enthusiastic participants and we had a good three hours of lacrosse in Hyde Park. I really would recommend London Live to anyo...

Re: Need a goalie for hitchin prem 2012 - 2013

Sam, as club development officer for the ELA, do you fancy helping Hitchin out in the search for a new 'first team' goalie as well? :) Agree on the lack of gusto in Bish's message though, it was all a bit of a panicked rush job at training last night and done off his phone. Plus he is a bit of a go...

Re: Need a goalie for hitchin prem 2012 - 2013

Come on man, you can do better than that! Why would someone come to your club rather than any other? Where is the club? What are the other players like? What sort of standard are you looking for? Literally any goalie, or someone who has experience at a certain level? Sell the club!

Re: Lacrosse at London Live

I completely agree! It's not ideal, but then there are a lot of sports taking part, and only so many weekend! Unfortunately the initial schedule was handed to each NGB without our input so I would have had to come up with a good reason why we needed to have a weekend slot over another sport. Respons...

Lacrosse at London Live

Hi all, You may have heard of London Live (http://www.btlondonlive.com/) an event being run alongside the Olympics at both Hyde Park and Victoria Park. There will be big screens showing the sports, music stages and (importantly for us) an area for people to try out new sports. We will be running som...

Re: Japan Lacrosse Association

Wow, thats amazing. I had no idea Japan was doing so well. EDIT: Although, a quick glance of the Japan Lacrosse website gives this: http://www.lacrosse.gr.jp/eng_membership/ Assuming it's accurate, it suggests Japan has about 15,000 lacrosse players compared with around 23,000 in England. I'm sure i...

Do you have a source for this?

I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just surprised that this is the case.

Re: Team Manchester v England Men

Didn't recognise about half a dozen of Team Manc, but I'm pretty sure I spotted the following: G - Rob Williams (Mersey) D - Tom Bailey (Mersey), Della (Poynton), Chris Summers (Brooklands), Rochey (Mellor) M - John Beadle (Mersey), Tom Patterson (Stockport), Ian Davies (Norbury), Eddie Owen (Wacs?...

Re: Lacrosse in North London

I don't know where exactly the club will be since I'm still gauging interest, but I'm looking into where might be a good place. If anyone knows of somewhere good then let me know! I've decided that there is definitely the interest to push this forward in some form so I propose that we just run some ...

Re: English Universities Team 2012

As you may be aware, the North and South University teams have been combined this year to make a single English Unis team for the British Nationals. From my point of view it has been really interesting to see some of the best university players come out to trials, and I'm confident our final squad ...

Lacrosse in North London

Here's a question: Do you currently live in North London and play lacrosse? Would you be interested in helping to start a new club in North London? Would you play for this new club if it was set up? At the moment the only club that comes close to being in this area is Buckhurst Hill, and they are te...
