Got to agree with Phil. With the best of intentions, the third guy may think he is going in to play peace maker. stick tampering

the rule book says that "no stick cannot be tampered with in any way so as to give an player an advantage over his opponent" - Rule 16.4

So by virtue of the rules, a stick cannot be pinched, baked etc.
