just depends on the umpire!

Green card or yellow card is available for this. Green if it is an offence being committed persistantly by a team, yellow if it's the same individual.

All good feedback - thanks. I think the yellow card rule will likely be brought in, but without the expiry on a goal. The offside rule is unlikely to be changed (we are unlikely to vote on it as it was not officially trialled in this country), and I expect the goalkeeper rule to be changed back as i...

Please could you post any feedback you have on here ASAP as there is a meeting on Sunday at which decisions will be made as to what our recommendations will be to FIL. Thanks.

Those rules are out of date.

If you want a copy of the full document, please PM me your email address.

The rules are essentially those per the 2007/10 IFWLA rule book, bar the checking.

Re: STX Tilt and 10 degree shafts

Do you know will these be legal to use? It says that the head meets the IFWLA specifications but it was released this autumn and it's not on the list of approved sticks that was updated in May. Not currently approved, but I have asked whether that is down to it not having been tested yet. When I ha...

New training tool

Good for people without walls, or more specifically those who have a wall but want to add a slightly more dynamic aspect to proceedings - the shooting work looked like a good work out.

The 7v7 isn't officially being trialled anywhere in England. I think the only reason that some teams are playing it comes down to confusion. I can't comment on why it's not being trialled as I was not at the R&U meeting where this was decided (of all the ones I could miss!). I will try to find o...

Re:

The women's umpiring committee, which has recently taken over responsibility for women umpires, is looking into what they can do, but at the moment the game seems to be haemorrhaging experienced umpires at a time when it is growing. The situation in Kent is particularly bad and for our Invicta 8s l...

Re:

Paul Coups (ELA) has responded to me this morning. Suggestions: 1. Allow people to take the Local Umpiring test without doing the course 3. Offer significant discounts for clubs making a commitment to host courses and getting multiple people on it. 4. Offer fixed price courses that are not on a per...

And yes, it is allowed. Just remember though it will slow your hand movement down.

'Balls of the body only to be called when deliberate' - how about a ball off the body which is greatly to their advantage, for instances hits a leg and rolls in front of them for an easy pick up, away from a defender? Unless it's deliberate then its not a foul. Remeber though, a goal cannot be scor...
