Re: Northern Flags schedule

Good Senior Flags final between Stockport and Cheadle. Both teams pushing hard on defense and doing their best to reduce the scoring oppurtunities. Chris Brady absolutely dominated the face-off. Can't really remember him losing any. After Cheadle scoring the first goal of the game, the momentum appe...

Re: Cup Semi-Final Draw

For all of you that felt that Cheadle Hulme and Newcastle derserved to be seeded and promoted to the final, I think it should be noted that Ashton put in a very good performance at yesterdays Lancashire Cup final. They were leading for most of the game and only fell behind in the final quarter. Fina...

Re: Results - 12/04/14

Why?

I can't speak for notts, but Leeds would have to have conceded the match regardless of whether it was last season's structure, or this years. We simply didn't have enough available players, and this had nothing to do with the structure.

Re: Nick Watson (Oldham/Adelphi)

I was having a break when he was coming through so never played against him. Did he just play for Oldham over here? Fair play to those stats though. What's he doing after Uni? I'd love to see more of our players get themselves over there. The lads I've known who've done it have had a great time. Ac...

Nottingham 0 - 1 Norbury Tough match between these 2 and credit to both defences for keeping the score down as low it was. MVP went to Woody for his wondergoal which amazed the hundreds of spectators on the sideline. He managed to dodge the entire Nottingham team before an around-the-world feed to ...

And in answer to your earlier question, yes it does seem that the north forum is dying a death. Very few contributing nowadays.

Re: Is the forum dead in the North?

Well done to Rochdale for their comeback win against Steelers.
Sounds like a really good match. Shame I had to miss it.

The previous head to head this season suggests it should be a cracking final between Sheff Uni and Rochdale! Home advantage (providing you remember the bug spray for your players)

Re: Cup Semi-Final Draw

In Prem 3, the two top teams have been that for quite a long time, Newcastle were certainly promoted before the cup was drawn and I think Cheadle Hulme could only finish 3rd at worst by the same stage (and even then only by concessions). We're certainly disappointed to be playing Cheadle Hulme at t...

Re: Cup Semi-Final Draw

Why is there a draw for the semi's which is also separate to the quarters? Why are teams not seeded? As a result of the current method in Prem 3 you will have 2 of the top 3 teams knocked out before the final. As it stands the final will be 1/2 v 5/6. Which I anticipate will be a thrashing given th...

Re: Cup Semi-Final Draw

What is the format is it seeded or are there sides of the draw or are all names back in the hat and drawn randomly. Effectively can Stockport and cheadle meet before the final Or will it be sorted so they don't Not too sure exactly when it was done or how, but according to league website, Cheadle p...

Re: New League Structure

That may be so and in my opinion correct, but the wording of the rules says at the end of the league programme not near the end to see who plays who in the final three games. The rules need to be changed to allow for the new league structure. True. I think you make a good point there. The structure...

Re: New League Structure

So can any one shed any light or even give an opinion on Prem 2. Wilmslow and Rochdale are tied on 16 points, League Republic has Wilmslow in 4th with a better goal difference and Rochdale in 5th. But Rochdale are better on head to head. But if you read the NEMLA rules on League Republic it says. 5...

Re: League Format / Fixtures / International Breaks

Just thought of a scenario. Can this happen? 8-team league finishes as follows (say): Team 1 loads pts Team 2 loads pts Team 3 loads pts Team 4 6pts Team 5 5pts Team 6 5pts Team 7 5pts Team 8 2pts Team 4 then play the four-team mini league and get pumped by better opposition (Teams 1, 2 & 3) ev...

Re: League Format / Fixtures / International Breaks

It all needs to be looked into, if the ELA dont realise that it is effecting our sport then they really dont care about Lacrosse in this nation reaching its full potential. The format set up at the end of the season has no purpose and when play starts the winner and loser of the league could alread...
